Hervé began his career in the financial markets at Goldman Sachs and then within the Société Générale group, before creating HDL Capital, a mergers and acquisitions consultancy firm that supports the development and valuation of family businesses.
In 2016, Hervé decided on a new professional direction and invested in industrial innovation and more particularly in the preservation of natural resources. An evolution thought as an implication for the common good.
In 2021, Hervé co-founded Seanergy with Hubert Montcoudiol.
“I became aware of the need to develop innovative solutions aimed at increasing the natural resources needed by humans without threatening the environment, particularly in response to situations of deficiency that are affecting more and more countries around the world.”
Having worked for several investment banks, Crédit Agricole and Société Générale, with international responsibilities in Asia, the United States, and Europe, Hubert Montcoudiol comes from the world of finance. A consultant and founder of several start-ups in sports tech, agrotech, and fintech, he co-founded, with Hervé de Lanversin, a first structure dedicated to preserving the organic composition of fruits before creating SEAWARDS in Marseille in 2021.
A new entrepreneurial path resulting from an awareness of the urgency to act on a large scale to preserve water resources and a desire to create a fair and profitable business model…

Clément Bernard, from Le Mans, joined the Seawards team on October 10th and completed his DUT in mechanical engineering in Toulon and then attended a mechanical design engineering school, Polytech in Tours.
Involved in R&D, he is happy with this first job at 25, fresh from his training. Why Seawards? “It’s a project essential for life, a new way of doing and designing desalination. This technology, less polluting than existing ones, also consumes less energy. The start-up aspect convinced me. I like being part of close-knit teams. It’s an ideal starting point for growing a project.”
Recruited at Seawards in early January for his skills in mechanics and industrial design, Bastien Guillot completed a BTS (Higher National Diploma) in industrial product design in Aix-en-Provence and Marseille. “At 45, I worked in the pharmaceutical industry and plastics factories, and I wanted to flourish in a new position. Seawards’ offer interested me because of the nobility of the cause. I pay attention to the impact of what I do.” The startup format also has its advantages. “It’s a risk, but I want to give the idea a chance. The company’s project appeals to me. For once, I’m working in an environment that allows me to change things in the right way and fight for the right purpose…”
