Last Thursday, Seawards took part in the morning of discussions held at the Palavas-les-Flots marina by Pôle Mer Méditerranée, as part of the Blue Ecosystem working group.
The event brought together all the stakeholders involved in the management of port waters: port authorities, industries, operators, local governments, and deeptech companies.

The discussions focused on issues that are becoming increasingly central for port areas: water quality, uses and constraints, environmental impact, regulatory evolution, water autonomy, and climate resilience.

In this context, Hubert Montcoudiol, co-founder of Seawards, presented in detail our cryo-separation desalination technology. This process separates fresh water from salts without the use of membranes or chemicals.
It completely eliminates the production of concentrated brine – typically discharged into the sea by conventional processes and highly harmful to marine ecosystems.

Our technology opens the door to truly environmentally respectful desalination and offers a viable pathway to improving access to drinking water across all types of territories.
