An engineer from the Ecole Polytechnique of Alger, with a Master’s degree from Université Paris Saclay, Ryma Laifa also holds a PhD from INSA Toulouse. Coming from the world of academic research, Ryma wanted to join Seawards, a dynamic start-up to create a bridge between laboratories and industrial processes.
“This is where it all happens. Today, it’s the only way to do applied research, and put my skills to good use while achieving rapid results”. All in the service of an environmental cause that’s close to his heart. “That’s why I’m particularly keen to put my environmental engineering hat on”. With 6 years’ experience in process modelling, she works with Seawards on a number of topics, including process energy optimization, post- and pre-treatment of water, and physico-chemical analysis with Camille Mangin, in-house expert on the subject and researcher in environmental microbiology and water technology.
Being on all fronts? It’s obvious to Ryma. “In an agile, committed team, by acting on several themes, you can activate several levers and be all the more effective”.
When versatility is the sinews of war!
